LOUVRE MUSEUM

A manipulable 3D statue to reveal hidden writing

Touchscreen

At the Louvre Museum, the statue of King Osorkon II has an inscription located beneath its base. This area is hard to view in the gallery, and the museum must protect the artwork by preventing visitors from handling or touching it.

The Louvre developed an interactive 3D experience with PandaSuite, allowing visitors to explore a digital replica of the statue. By rotating, tilting, and zooming, they can access normally unreachable angles, including the writing under the base, without any contact with the original piece.
